Summer Blossom Pre-Kindergarten Experience

for incoming Kindergarten students at Lake View

Summer Blossom is for incoming Kindergarten students attending Lake View Primary School in 2023-24. It is a half-day, academic and enrichment program. Students will receive intentional instruction focused on literacy and math skills as well as social and emotional skills. A variety of topics will be explored through enrichment-projects in a play-based learning environment.

Vacation Academies

Grades: K-8th

Vacation Academies combine academic and enrichment activities into a half-day program. Vacation Academies have been developed by PUSD's Summer Experience Design Team to improve critical math and literacy skills. A select group of teachers has been chosen and trained to provide participants the most effective instructional strategies for your child's success in the new school year. Enrichment learning may include language and culture, STEM, STEAM, and community partnerships and field trips.

Summer Bridge

Grades: current 6th - 10th

Summer Bridge programs are available for math, science, and literacy skills. These programs are half-day programs. Students engage in interactive, project-based learning while sharpening the math, reading and writing skills needed to succeed in the next grade level and beyond. Curriculum is provided in partnership with the AVID Center and delivered by certified teachers. Students are provided opportunties to connect their learning to the community through field trips.

Career and Technical Institutes

Grades: current 8th - 11th

Career and Technical Institutes combine project-based learning and critical thinking skills with career readiness skill development. These programs are half-day programs. Certified CTE instructors lead the programs. Program topics include robotics, and building and  construction trades.

Well Devil Sports Clinics

Grades: current 3rd - 8th

Throughout the month of June 2023 various activities will be offered to our students to meet their needs for fitness and wellness. These programs keep our youth connected to the school community as well as teach them the skills and techniques of a variety of wellness activities. Program options include running, football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, baseball, softball, socce and golf. Programs will run a week during the month of June; some may run longer.

Credit Recovery

Grades: current 9th - 11th

Credit Recovery program allows students who are off-track for graduation to spend time demonstrating essential learnings and skills in both academic and elective course work. The goal is for students participating in the credit recovery to gain 0.5 - 1 credit in coursework that was previously not earned. Credit Recovery programs offer in-person, hybrid, and online options.
